Interiors Inspiration #1

24 August 2016

Hello dear friends and happy Wednesday to you! Few months ago I came across a wonderful blog called decor8. Do you know about it? It's just addictive; The pictures are beautiful and delightful, the people who've been interviewed are very talented and there are lots of creative tips that you can take away from each blogpost. So if you're passionate about interior decoration and looking for a great source of inspiration, have a look at this blog and I'm sure you'll be hooked!
I've been reading decor8 blog for a while now and been saving all my favourite pictures for a quick burst of interior design ideas. I always feel a chill of excitement when looking at beautiful spaces which are filled with character, warmth, meaningful touches and personalized nooks. Here's a few cozy interiors that ooze with charm and creativity. Not to mention, I keep visualising myself living in these lovely spaces... a girl can dream, right?! :)

Life Lately...

15 August 2016

Happy Monday, everyone! I've been meaning to write this blogpost ages ago, but even today, after I finished writing it, I ironed almost all my clothes - this is a typical way of procrastination by the way! Anyway, I hope you're having a lovely summer (hopefully you're not boiling or anything)! If there's one thing I love more than anything (aside from cats, popcorn, salted caramel ice cream, chocolate truffles and red wine), it's 'floating around' London and coming in contact with different sights, sounds and scents and not really knowing what's going to happen next... I think it's that sort of spontaneous experience that keeps a day fresh! Although, I've been quite lazy for the last few weeks (just going to the same places over and over again!) and didn't really explore new places, but the weather's been too nice recently not to go out. It's actually that kind of weather that if I don't go out, I feel extremely guilty! Anyway, here's a few photos of my new found favourite spots and some wonderful little moments that I managed to capture!

I'm Back!

Ferrara
It's been such a long time! I have to admit, I've never been a consistent blogger, but I really hope that somehow (magically) this bad habit of mine (procrastination) is going to change. One thing I know for sure is that I would never stop blogging completely! I absolutely love this little space of mine on the internet; it has helped me to develop the habit of noticing the details of the world around me; to slow down and savor overlooked occasions and to take the time and capture the little moments in my every day life. I truly believe that it's the combination of the tiny moments in a day that makes life matter and connects you to other people.
So why did I disappear for a few months? The main reason was that I went through a big change in my personal life and I totally lost all my motivation and couldn't think of anything to write about.
However, a few wonderful things happened in the past couple of months that got me motivated and inspired again; I travelled to Vals in Switzerland and Bregenz in Austria and saw three amazing buildings designed by the world famous architect Peter Zumthor. I went back to Tehran to visit my family and friends for the Persian New Year. I went to Bologna, Ferrara and Florence (first time to Italy) and visited one of my best friends from university (we hadn't seen each other for almost 8 years!). So I prepared this blogpost (which took me forever!) to break the ice and get into my blogging 'momentum' again!
Here's a few photos of my trips... and 10 things that are making me very happy (as of late):
1. sleeping in, then having breakfast in bed
2. friends and red wine
3. unexpected hugs
4. holidays to new destinations
5. surprisingly pleasant people
6. the voice of my parents on the phone
7. sweet potato chips
8. half-melted ice cream
9. hearing a song that brings back a good memory
10. ordering books online
